Plain language. These terms cover using this website and the Kogsy After-Hours service. By using either, you agree to them.
Who provides the service
Kogsy After-Hours is operated by HG Connect UG (haftungsbeschränkt), operating as Kogsy. Contact details and legal registration are in our Imprint.
What Kogsy After-Hours is, and what it is not
Kogsy After-Hours is a service for home-care agencies. It answers an agency’s after-hours calls, sends real emergencies to the on-call person the agency names, and helps fill call-off shifts by texting available caregivers who have opted in.
Kogsy After-Hours is not medical care, not a diagnosis, not a monitoring or alarm system, and not an emergency service. It never replaces 911 or local emergency services. If someone needs medical help, contact a doctor or emergency services. Do not rely on Kogsy After-Hours to detect or respond to an emergency.
Who this service is for
Kogsy After-Hours is provided to home-care agencies. The agency arranges coverage and defines its escalation route, including the on-call person that real emergencies must reach. The agency is responsible for the accuracy of the escalation details it provides.
SMS Terms — Caregiver Shift Coverage
The shift-coverage text program is operated by HG Connect UG (haftungsbeschränkt), operating as Kogsy, on behalf of home-care agencies. Purpose: to notify an agency’s own opted-in caregivers of open shifts they may accept or decline. Enrollment is voluntary — a caregiver opts in by texting JOIN to the agency’s Kogsy shift-line number after seeing the program disclosure — and is not a condition of employment. Acceptable use
Use Kogsy After-Hours only for its intended purpose. Do not misuse the service, the shift-line number, or the opt-in keywords, and do not use them to contact anyone without a proper basis.
Limitation of liability
Kogsy After-Hours is provided on a reasonable-effort basis. To the extent permitted by law, HG Connect UG (haftungsbeschränkt) is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any harm arising from reliance on Kogsy After-Hours as if it were medical care, monitoring, or an emergency service, which it is not. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Changes
We may update the service and these terms. If we make a material change, we will note it here and, where it affects you, let you know. The version that applies is the one in force when you use the service.
